The Murder

On June 11, 2018, Constantin Sorinel Marcu was shot in the back of the head outside the Riviera Maya gang’s Cancún headquarters, where Tudor lives with his family. The official story accepted by a local judge was that a security guard shot Marcu as he attempted to kidnap one of his clients. But there are numerous problems with this version of events. A forensics test found no gunpowder on the security guard’s hands or forearms. Photos from the police report reveal that Marcu was barefoot at the time he was supposedly attempting a kidnapping. Marcu’s family believes the gang executed him elsewhere, moved his body, and staged the crime scene.
