The Enforcers

Florian Tudor, nicknamed “The Shark,” maintained control over the Riviera Maya gang through blackmail, threats, and violence, using enforcers like Sorin Velcu. After the gang’s technician fled Mexico to escape his life of crime, enforcers paid him and his family a threatening visit in Romania. When The Shark embarked on a feud with another gang member, Constantin Sorinel Marcu, he sent Sorin Velcu to threaten Marcu’s father in Craiova. When that failed, three of The Shark’s men attempted to stab Marcu to death outside a DHL office in Cancún. Two months later, in June 2018, Marcu’s body was found with a bullet in the back of his head near Tudor’s home.
