Located in the Old Town, one of Tbilisi’s most charming neighborhoods, the four-star Mercure is minutes from sulfur baths, theaters, and museums. Opened in 2015, the boutique hotel features 108 rooms. It also has a steakhouse, a lobby bar, and a terrace that offers a panoramic view of the city.
The Mercure Hotel Old Town is operated by Maqro Tourism, a subsidiary of Maqro Group.

The three-star Ibis Hotel Tbilisi Center is a minute’s walk from Freedom Square and the city’s Old Town. The hotel offers guests a direct view of the “glass palace,” a striking building erected by Georgian billionaire and former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanashvili.
The colorful Ibis features 119 rooms and a terrace, and opened in 2017. It is operated by a Maqro subsidiary, Maqro Tourism.

Swissôtel Tbilisi Center

The five-star Swissotel is under construction. This 10-floor hotel, which will feature a rooftop terrace with views of Tbilisi, is located in the center of the city, close to the official presidential residence.
According to Maqro’s website, the hotel will have 140 rooms in various categories, such as “Swiss Business Advantage” and “Swiss Vitality.”

Glorya Furniture Factory

The Glorya furniture factory was the only such enterprise in Batumi at the time of its opening in 2013. It produces furniture for homes, offices, and hotels, including for Uchar’s own. Glorya products are also sold in a chain of furniture stores called Belissa, which are also owned by Uchar.

The prestigious Green Budapest complex is one of Maqro’s biggest investments. Located in the center of Tbilisi, it has four blocks featuring 350 fully renovated apartments.
The complex features landscaped green areas, a basketball court, and playgrounds. The project launched in 2014, with nearly 90 percent of the apartments being sold the same year.

In 2014, Maqro bought 2 hectares of green land outside of Tbilisi on which the company planned to build a shopping center. Though the city administration granted permission for the construction, Maqro never followed through with the project. It still owns the land.
