Andi Constanțiu Dăndică, a Craiova real estate developer, said he met Florian Tudor’s Romanian wife, Rebeca, through his own wife in 2013 and started working with her a year later. They built two apartment buildings together in Tudor’s home city, in what Romanian prosecutors allege was a scheme to launder the profits from the Riviera Maya gang’s ATM scam. Dăndică also visited Tudor in Mexico, but he claimed he was never aware of the source of the money for the Craiova project. He and Tudor fell out in 2016 and he split the real-estate investment with Rebeca Tudor. Dăndică said he was attacked by Tudor’s men the following year. and later became a Romanian prosecution witness against him.
