The Shark

Florian Tudor, also known as “The Shark,” is a gangster from Craiova, Romania, and the head of the Riviera Maya gang. According to Romanian police, by 2012 he was in Mexico coordinating people smuggling from Romania into the U.S. via Mexico. Two years later, he and his gang set up a sophisticated scam using ATMs in Mexico’s major tourist areas to clone bank cards, netting them an estimated $240 million a year. Tudor was officially charged with assembling an organized crime group, blackmail, and conspiracy to murder in Romania in January. In Mexico, he is still walking free.
